Who We Are
Giving Songs is an all-volunteer 501 (c)(3) charitable organization focused on helping families with disabled children who are wheelchair users. Our grant giving is concentrated in the following Southeastern Michigan counties: Genesee, Hillsdale, Ingham, Jackson, Lapeer, Lenawee, Livingston, Macomb, Monroe, Oakland, St. Clair, Shiawassee, Washtenaw and Wayne.
Brent and Jaime Johnson founded Giving Songs in 2012 after the birth of their son, Jack. They had quickly discovered how challenging it is to raise a fully disabled child, and how few resources are available to families like their own. They knew they could help.
Giving Songs provides a platform where art and community intersect, resulting in relief to families who often go without basic necessities so many take for granted.

Get Involved
Want to get involved with Giving Songs? We work with local musicians to record licensed cover songs, available for free download here and streaming on all major platforms (search artist GIVING SONGS). We also host live music fundraising events featuring many of the artists who record for us.
We are always looking for professional SE Michigan artists to record songs in our world class studio AND for local businesses and individuals to host live music shows. Interested? Have another way to help? Please reach out to us at info@givingsongs.org.

Support Giving Songs
Donations are primarily used to purchase wheelchair accessible vehicles for Southeastern Michigan families with a disabled child using a wheelchair. Our wheelchair van grants help qualified families regain the basic freedom of transportation.
