“We cannot thank Giving Songs enough for their help to purchase a wheelchair accessible van for Julianna. As Julianna continues to grow it was getting increasingly difficult to get her into her car seat in a safe way, and some family just couldn’t do it anymore. Now that she has her van it is so much easier, she can be transferred to her wheelchair [and] can get out and about without being transferred again. Julianna also LOVES her van! Every time she’s ridden in it she has a happy smirk and you can tell she’s comfortable and excited to be out and about without going through the clunkiness of getting her in and out of her car seat a bunch of times. This van is a game changer for Julianna and our family and we are so grateful to Giving Songs for helping make it happen.”
– Jessica, mother of Julianna (2024)
"Our family is so thankful for the support from Giving Songs in purchasing a ramp van for our family. The ramp van not only enables our son to get to appointments and school, but also allows our family to go on outings together again. Prior to getting our ramp van, we had to limit outings to only necessary places because it was challenging to get him into and out of our vehicle safely. Now he is able to enter independently, which is extremely important for a growing 12-year-old boy. Our family looks forward to the many amazing adventures we will be able to take together!"
- Keyan, mother of William (2024)
"Our family will be forever grateful to the non-profit organization, Giving Songs, for their generous financial support granted to help us purchase the handicap accessible van needed to transport my son. As a single mom with limited financial means raising a severely multiply impaired child, a safe, reliable form of transportation is needed when it comes to taking your child to doctors appointments, wanting to attend community events, and the desire to be with family during the holiday season but not having a handicap accessible van posed an array of challenges for us and limited what we could do outside of our home. So often, events were not attended because of our limitation to transport my son where he would be comfortable, safe, and with a level of privacy when it comes to his hygienic needs as a growing young man. We have been blessed by Giving Songs with the financial assistance to help me to purchase a handicap accessible van that meets our needs and our world has changed beyond belief. My son and I can now go everywhere, see everything, visit everyone and plan new adventures without the worry of thinking "how do I get the wheelchair in the car". Life has changed for both of us, the concern for my own personal physical injury for lifting him has dwindled, my son can experience new adventures and he now has a level of privacy when addressing his personal care but mostly, we now feel a part of our community, not being excluded but being included. Thank you for our blessing and helping to change our path-new memories to come and enjoy with lots of smiles."
- Jackie, mother of Daniel (2024)
“We picked up our van from Creative Mobility Friday and are very grateful for the support from Givings Songs to help make this happen! We spent our first day with the van out on the town in Rochester and went to see Inside Out 2 and then did a little shopping in Downtown Rochester. We look forward to having more ease to transport our girls throughout the community.
We already have our first road trip planned in July where we will attend the rideATAXIA fundraiser in Chicago, then spend a week exploring Minnesota, and cap our trip off riding the S.S. Badger car ferry across Lake Michigan. The girls are looking so forward to this vacation.
The van will also provide a safer option for our extended family and caregivers when they want to take the girls out to shop, visit parks, and explore fun activities around town. The grandparents already plan to take the girls out with the van this Monday.
We have spent so much money out of pocket to make various home modifications and support accessibility for our two daughters. It was a relief to have financial support to pay for the conversion of our van and we are extremely thankful for the support.”

"Giving Songs has been with us every step of our journey in getting our daughter Delaney an accessible van, and it’s been a long 4-year journey. We are doing whatever we can to help Delaney live her best life and having a vehicle specifically made for her is going to help us do that. Now that we finally have our van, it is going to make a world of difference, for not only our daughter, but our entire family (and mom and dad’s backs). We can’t wait for all the adventures we can now go on together thanks to the help of Giving Songs!"
- Deanna, mother of Delaney (2024)
"Sincere thank you to Giving Songs for their generosity. Their donation towards the purchase of a wheelchair accessible van for our son Haris was beyond the exception. Thank you so much for being with us and supporting us in this long journey. We appreciate very much Megan's follow-up emails and her good communication with the Creative Mobility helped a lot. Having a wheelchair accessible van makes a big difference for our entire family. Haris as being a big boy, it was very hard for us to put him in and out of his car seat. Having a wheelchair accessible van and wheeling Haris in his wheelchair in and out of the van is so comfortable. Also, being able to park our van on a handicap parking makes our life way easier.
Thank you so much Giving Songs for your help and dedication in helping special needs kids and their families. It is a long lasting impact. ❤️ "
- Admira & Rifat, parents of Haris (2023)
“Thank you very much Giving Songs organization for helping us with the funding to get our wheelchair accessible van. This really helps us [with] my son[‘s] college transportation with the new vehicle. Thanks a lot for your help.”
– Bhadra, father of Karthik (2023)
“Finally having our van converted to wheelchair accessible has been so amazing for our family (especially for mamas back!). Wheeling the wheelchair in and out of the van is so much easier than picking up Quinn and putting her in and out of her car seat. This is something we have wanted for a while now and thanks to Giving Songs’ donation, it has helped us make the conversion possible! Thank you all for what you do for special needs families!”
– Chelsea, mother of Quinn (2023)
“The words I am looking for do not exist because my gratitude to you has no comparison. Thank you for your help for making sure that my daughter Joana got something better where she will be more comfortable to transport her to her medical appointments. My family and I are very grateful for your help.... We thank you so much. God bless you always.”
– Moises and Ana, parents of Joana (2023)
“Thank you for your extremely generous donation toward our wheelchair van. This van will help tremendously getting Lucy around and allowing us to go on more family outings. We really appreciate everything you’ve done to help our family and for making life easier for us!
– Kristen, mother of Lucy (2023)
“Our family is sincerely thankful for Giving Songs! My family will never be able to thank you enough for stepping in and helping with [a grant] to purchase an adapted van.
My husband, who had spine surgery, was unable to help me lift or transport our son's medically adapted stroller after I was in a car accident…. I struggled to get my son to his many medical appointments, but thanks to Giving Songs, our li[ves] have been forever changed and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Without this grant this could not have been possible. We are now able to get Remon, Jr. to his many appointments.”
– Yolonda, mother of Remon, Jr. (2022)
"Thank you so much Giving Songs for providing us with the means to get this wheelchair van. I truly appreciate your support. This van means so much to me now that I can go to school and do everyday living. I’ve been trying to do as much as I can before school starts in the fall. I’ve already made so many memories with this van. So for that I am grateful to you and once again thank you."
- Terrence, Jr. (2022)
“Giving Songs was great with helping Sean and I getting our wheelchair accessible van! They were great with communicating and checking in with Mobility Works! Thank you again!!”

“I want to sincerely thank Giving Songs from the bottom of our hearts for such an overwhelming gift of love. It has changed our lives forever. We are so unbelievably grateful and thankful for such a wonderful organization that would step in and help make such an impact on our family. No words can explain how we feel. Thank you doesn't seem big enough but [it is] the only thing I can think of, so thank you ... from the bottom of our hearts.”
– Jennifer, mother of Olivia and Mabel (2022)
"Having a wheelchair accessible vehicle has made travel to doctor appointments and family activities so much easier. We are so grateful to have this van and even more grateful for Giving Songs and their gift to our family. "
- Shannon and Chris, parents of Asher (2022)
“To say we are blessed and beyond grateful would be an understatement. Your kindness and generosity means more than any words could possibly explain. So, let me simply begin by saying, thank you.
Thank you, for your recent donation of $15,000 that aided in the purchasing of a wheelchair accessible van. Thank you, for your generosity and understanding of just how valuable accessible transportation is for someone who has limited mobility. Thank you, for seeing a need and acting upon it.
With your generous gift, you have aided our child, who uses a wheelchair for mobility, the opportunity to have a more accessible means of transportation not only now but as she ages. Dayton is a vibrant, active, child. One who enjoys travel, skateparks, and being with her brothers. One who has many appointments that we must travel for to monitor her health and growth. She is a child who lives a full life with strength and determination.
Your giving heart has aided our family with the opportunity for safer transport and less strain on her and on us with lifting her to and from a traditional vehicle. This accessible van will allow us more opportunities for quality family outings and for Dayton to be an active, high energy, mobile participant in more activities outside of our home. Thank you for providing her and us with a continued example of living with a kind and generous heart and for aiding us in providing her safe and reliable transportation as we continue to show her that her mobility outshines her disability in so many ways.
Our gratitude could never be summed up in a few paragraphs or in a few short words. Please know that from the bottom of our hearts, we are eternally grateful for your kind and generous donation and we will continue to spread our message of appreciation and gratefulness for the remainder of our lives.”
– Natasha, mother of Dayton (2021)
“We are so thankful to Giving Songs for helping us get the lift for our van. We found an amazing van but couldn’t afford to have it converted because of the payment on the vehicle! We were able to get it converted solely from the help of Giving Songs. This lift has been life changing. I no longer have to lift my 35 lb. daughter in and out of the car but also (and more importantly) her 100 lb. wheelchair! My back is already a little messed up from a car accident and with P-R only getting bigger it’s a relief to know at least one area of our lives was made more convenient. She sits SO comfortably in her wheelchair versus a car seat so we are extremely grateful for that! Giving Songs, we cannot thank you enough for the amazing gift for our family. A large family like ours cannot always afford everything simply. Thank you again for helping us keep P-R comfortable every moment of every day. The lift only furthers our strive for quality of life for our daughter. My back thanks you too!”
– Crystal, mother of P-R (2021)
"We really appreciate the ramp that was installed to our van. It's made transporting my brother so much easier for my mom and I while making sure he's as comfortable as possible!"
- Huyen, sister of Zain (2021)
"This past June we found ourselves in an unimaginable circumstance with our daughter after complications from a surgical procedure. We were overwhelmed with new life challenges our daughter's condition would require us to navigate. We not only needed to make our home accessible for her but we needed our vehicle converted to provide our daughter a way to come home from hospital and to receive her ongoing outpatient medical and rehabilitation needs. We are so grateful we were introduced to Giving Songs and were touched by their willingness to provide funding to convert our van to be wheelchair accessible for our daughter. We are grateful for the support received not only financially but we have felt support for our daughter and family regularly with check-ins to see how we are transitioning. We are so grateful for all those who make Giving Song grants possible to bless the lives of families like ours. Thank you!"
- Jennifer, mother of Lyla (2020)
"Justin had therapy today and for the first time I took him AND got back home again without having to pick up his wheelchair! We LOVE LOVE LOVE his new van!
THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF OUR HEARTS ... and our backs thank you too!"
- Dawn and Randy, guardians of Justin (2020)
“Our family is forever grateful for Giving Songs! We are a family of 5, and our middle son, Maxwell, has a genetic condition called FOXG1 syndrome which leaves him without the ability to walk, talk, self feed, and see properly. We needed a wheelchair van to safely transport Max now that he is getting older. Giving Songs made our dreams come true. Without this grant, it would take a years for us to be able to save enough to purchase the van that we needed so urgently. This is an incredible organization that made a huge, positive difference in our lives. Thank you Giving Songs! We appreciate everything you have done for our family!”
- Marissa, mother of Maxwell (2020)
"We are overwhelmed with gratitude for the $25,000 grant from Giving Songs. It's hard to find the right words to express the incredible weight that has been lifted for our family due to this generous gift. Your willingness to help families secure wheelchair accessible vehicles so that they can transport their children with ease and safety has left a lifelong, meaningful impact on our family, the families supported prior to ours and the many that are sure to follow. The freedom to transport Miles in a vehicle best suited for our family enables us the opportunity to be together for day-to-day activities and take Miles on future family adventures."
- Rita, mother of Miles (2020)

“Giving Songs is an amazing charity that helps families with a disabled child purchase an accessible vehicle. These vehicles are so expensive and it was extremely difficult to find any charities that helped with such a purchase. I was so thankful that Giving Songs came through and helped us! What a blessing this charity is!!”
- Melissa, mother of Ashley (2017)
“If anyone is looking for an organization to support.......I highly recommend Giving Songs.
They provided us with a grant which helped to get our payment one we could afford for
Addi’s handicap MV-1 Van!
This was life changing for us.... I look back and think of how life was before our van and tears flow ........
I was so afraid I would drop Addisyn carrying her in and out of the van, through the snow .....
up the stairs......
She had outgrown her car seat.... being able to change her diaper on the go was almost impossible.
This van gave me the freedom to care for my daughter independently. I can do it all by myself if need be. Can you imagine how good that feels.....
Thank you to our dear friends..... The Johnsons ....I now consider family .....for their dedication to this cause. We love you all dearly...and will forever be grateful!
Thank you Lord for always providing......Blessed”
- Tracy, mother of Addisyn (2015)
“We absolutely LOVE the new vehicle! Yesterday I was able to pick Tyler up from school,
run some errands, and go to the grocery store – without any help, and without any back ache.
Tyler loves sitting in the front as well…. Him sitting in the front must feel like an entirely new experience, he just giggles and giggles. I found myself just taking him for a ride a couple of times
just to see him smile and hear his giggle."
– Trish, mother of Tyler (2014)
“We purchased a wheelchair van 7 years ago for our special needs daughter, Kassidy. Giving Songs was amazing and helped us with a monetary donation that was beyond anything we could have imagined. They came to the dealer with us and helped us with the entire process. We have had our van since that time and it has been a blessing for our family making our daily life so much easier. Thanks again.”
